Who needs GDPR awareness training – and why?
If you handle customer, employee or business-partner data in Germany, then data protection is already part of your day-to-day operations – whether you realize it or not.
You don’t need to become a GDPR expert. You need to recognize when an everyday business decision has data privacy implications and know when to escalate a potential issue.
When does an organization need a DPO in Germany?
Germany’s Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) generally requires the appointment of a DPO where at least 20 individuals are regularly involved in the automated processing of personal data. Furthermore, a DPO may be required where core activities involve large-scale regular and systematic monitoring of individuals or large-scale processing of sensitive personal data.

Hi, I’m Aaron – a German-American dual national and data privacy consultant based in Bavaria, Germany.
I am a Certified Information Privacy Professional (IAPP CIPP/E) and Certified Data Protection Specialist (DEKRA). I help companies understand and implement German and EU data protection requirements.
For more than 20 years, I have worked on legally and commercially sensitive matters on both sides of the Atlantic for prestigious law firms, public authorities, SMEs and multinational corporations as a certified translator/interpeter specialized in business & law. This background gives me a practical understanding of international business, regulatory requirements and the importance of clear, reliable communication.
All consulting and training is delivered by me personally, in English or German.
